Eunice Laverne Sumnicht (nee Farr)

PORTAGE - Eunice Laverne Sumnicht (nee Farr), age 88, died Monday, November 12, 2012 at Tivoli Health Care Center in Portage.

Eunice was born on August 2, 1924 in Black Earth, the daughter of George H. and Grace R. (Berglund) Farr.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Sumnicht, her sisters, Marion Widmann, Ruth Setunsky, and her brothers, George Farr and Burton Farr.  Eunice is survived by her son, Gary Sumnicht (Diane Coughlin); her grandchildren, Nicolas Malone, Zoe Sumnicht and Haley Sumnicht; her brother Russell Farr of Mesa Arizona; two nieces, Julie Major and Karen Crary and their children, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Rev. Tom Countryman officiating.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be held on Friday, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

As Eunice always said, “It’s Sweet to be Remembered.”
