John D. Moll

POYNETTE  --  John D. Moll, age 66, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at University Hospital in Madison.

John was born on February 12, 1947, in Portage, the son of J. Donald and Genevieve M. (Smith) Moll.  He graduated from Poynette High School in 1965.  He married Ginny Mabry on October 12, 1968 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Arlington.  John served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1968.  He worked at various places; but was always a farmer at heart.  John enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandsons, and loved playing games with his granddaughter.  John and Ginny thoroughly enjoyed traveling with their family and friends.       

John is survived by his wife, Ginny Moll, Poynette; his children, Tim (Keeley) Moll, Poynette, and Keri (B.J.) Bockenhauer, Pardeeville; his mother, Genevieve Moll, Rio; his grandchildren, Jack, Sawyer, and Kinzie; his brothers and sisters, Linda (Steve) Pulver, Mary (Stan) Salverson, Bruce (Pi) Moll, Wayne (Marilyn) Moll, and Calvin (Sue) Moll; his brothers-in law and sister-in-law, John Reddeman and Gary and Cheri Konrad, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Moll, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jack and Norma Mabry, and his sister-in-law, Peggy Reddeman.    

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 303 Park St., Arlington, WI 53911, with Rev. Marion Hendrickson officiating.  Burial will be held in Hillside Cemetery with Military Honors.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the church.  The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Poynette American Legion for the memorial project or the High Ground Memorial, at The Highground, W7031 Ridge Road, Neillsville, WI  54456.
