Elsie C. (Riggio) Schliesman POYNETTE -- Elsie C. (Riggio) Schliesman, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Columbia Healthcare Center in Wyocena. Elsie was born on November 17, 1927, the daughter of Perry and Bertha (Gabbei) Peterson. She loved cats. She enjoyed Big Band music, crocheting, flowers, doing puzzles, and playing Bingo. She is survived by her children, James Riggio, of Sanford, FL, and Chris (Daryl) Steinhorst, of Poynette; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, James Riggio, her second husband, Fred Schliesman, her son, Thomas Riggio, her sister, Ruth Priem, and her brothers, Gary Peterson and Donald Peterson. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette, with Rev. Diane Vielhuber officiating. Inurnment will be held in Hillside Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
