Darwin Carl Wolfgram

 

Darwin Carl Wolfgram, age 86 passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Heritage House in Portage.

Darwin was born August 4, 1937, to Carl August and Bernadine Viola (Larson) Wolfgram.  He was married to Barbara Nancy McDonald on March 24, 1956, in Portage.

Darwin worked construction for many years before starting his own company Wolfgram Excavating.  Darwin was big into the Rodeo and owned race horses. He also enjoyed Nascar racing, owning a Badger Midget race car for 10 years, watching the Packers, fishing, hunting, golfing and also had his pilot’s license. Darwin and Barbara spent numerous winters at their home in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Darwin served in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of 67 years, son, Boyd (Holly) Wolfgram of Pardeeville; daughters, Jody (Dan) Cummings of Westfield and Bobbi Kelley of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren Brody Wolfgram; Max, Parker, Hunter, Payton, Kalista and Kiriana Cummings; Tyler and Davin Kelley; brother-in-law Donald (Myra) McDonald of Georgia; other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, half-brother Duane (Buzz) Seeley, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws.

Darwin’s wishes were to be remembered for the good times and at his request there will be no service.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brenda Blohm, the staff at Heritage House of Portage and Agrace Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
