Jesse A. Martinez

PORTAGE –  Jesse A. Martinez, age 21, died on Sunday, April 8, 2012, as the result of a motorcycle accident. 

Jesse was born on November 27, 1990 in Madison, the son of David Martinez and Jodi M. Bergh.  He graduated from Portage High School in 2009.  Jesse was a loving father and enjoyed hunting, fishing, mudding, motorcycling, and his Mustang.  He was currently working at AMPI.

Jesse is survived by his mother, Jodi Morris, Pardeeville;  his step-father, Marty Morris, Pardeeville;  his son, Anthony L. M. Martinez and his mother, Karina Mendoza;  his sister, Elizabeth Martinez, Portage;  his partner, Lindsay Eilders, Portage;  his grandparents, Wm. Dave and Mary Ann Bergh, Endeavor;  his step-grandmother, Lydia Morris, Waukesha;  his second dad, James Blue;  aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his father. 

 Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Portage, with Fr. Jim Murphy presiding.  Burial will be at a later date at Durward’s Glen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.     

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family for a fund for his children.
