Eva Mae Simonson PORTAGE - Eva Mae Simonson, age 95, passed away on October 9, 2016, at Columbia Healthcare Center in Wyocena, surrounded by her loving family. Eva Mae was born on January 18, 1921, in Rio, the daughter of George and Grace (Kearney) Buzzell. She married Gordon Simonson on May 25, 1939 in Kilbourn. Eva Mae worked as an inspector for the Portage Hosiery for 36 years. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage, and The Red Hat Society in New Lisbon. She enjoyed quilting and was a big Packers and Brewers fan. She is survived by her children, Dale (significant other, Marie Gabris) Simonson, of New Lisbon, Diane (Delmar) Loveland, of Endeavor, Alan (Judy) Simonson, of Pardeeville, and Dean (Jean) Simonson, of Portage; her grandchildren, Laurie (Paul) Kraisin, of Fond du Lac, Brian Loveland, of Oxford, Brenda Boehlke, of Qatar, Rhonda (Jeff) Kosharek, of Janesville, Daryl (Jennifer) Loveland, of Endeavor, Steve Simonson, of Portage, Kristine Simonson, Robert Simonson, Kimberly Shortreed, and Troy Simonson, all of Pardeeville, and Teri Ann Clausen, of Portage; 21 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gordon Simonson, her daughter-in-law, Darlene Simonson, her brothers, Ralph, Harry, Delmar and Don Buzzell, her sisters, Marion Griffin, Erma Johnson and Opal Olson, and her great-great-granddaughter, Morgan Pounders. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Columbia Healthcare Center.
