Marcella Kay (née Kersten) Rosenow

MADISON – Marcella Kay (née Kersten) Rosenow, age 68, of Poynette, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at University of Wisconsin Hospital, in Madison.

Marcella was born October 7, 1955, in Janesville, the daughter of Leonard and Bernice Kersten.  She worked for many years at Stearn’s Packaging Corporation, in Poynette.  She also owned a business with her daughter Julie, Colorful Crafts, which they enjoyed together.  Marcella’s hobbies included reading, crafting, and going to craft shows.   

She is survived by her children, Matthew F. Rosenow, Michael B. Rosenow, Dawn M. Bibb, and Julie (Rosenow) Serafin; two sons-in-law; seven grandchildren; three sisters; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, Leonard and Bernice; and two brothers, Gary Kersten and Daryl Kersten.

Funeral services will be at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette (www.pmmfh.com), on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michele Hopp officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, in Poynette.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
