Nancy Beth Wahl

PARDEEVILLE – Nancy Beth Wahl, age 69, of Pardeeville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born on September 28, 1955, in Portage, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Beatrice (Hanson) Van Wormer. She married John Wahl on November 8, 1986. She worked for Rayovac for 28 years on their cell assembly line. Nancy enjoyed camping, motorcycling, riding, and riding at the farm on the golf cart. She was a talented artist and enjoyed visiting her beloved grandkids and daughter. Her wit, humor, and sassy honesty can never be replaced. She had a special nickname for everyone.

She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Alecia (Chris) Schneidewind; granddaughters, Abigail, Eleanor, and Emily; brother, Mark (Margie) Van Wormer; sister, Shelley (Butch) Rehak, Joan (Rex) Tilley, Colleen (Jerry) Howes, Lana Hamilton, Julie (Rob) Reveley, Jan (Dave) Carlson; brothers-in-law, Kenny, Matt, and Ross Wahl; sisters-in-law, Joanne Ebert and Theresa Thompson; lifelong friends, Kathy Barth and Sue Goodman; and other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her dad, John Van Wormer; mom, Beatrice Heberlein; sister, Laurie (Dave) Habeck; and “second dad,” Bob Heberlein.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Rev. David Pritchett and her brother, Mark Van Wormer, co-officiating. Burial will be at the Moundville Cemetery, following the service. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Portage from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Clare Hospital, of Baraboo, Agrace Hospice of Fitchburg, and all of the in home care staff for their care and support.
