Brandon Michael Downey

PORTAGE – Brandon Michael Downey, age 30, of Portage, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the comfort of his home.

Born on April 18, 1994, in the town of Portage, Brandon was the beloved son of Karl Anderson and Nola Downey. His professional journey took him into the world of computer technology, where his keen intellect and creativity flourished. Outside of work, Brandon had a profound passion for the great outdoors, often exploring nature’s beauty. He found immense joy in collecting unique crystals, each with its own story, and expressed his artistic side through various creative endeavors. A true friend and devoted family member, Brandon cherished the bonds he formed, always valuing the time spent with loved ones. His radiant smile had the power to brighten any room, and his heartfelt hugs were sought after by all who knew him.

Brandon is lovingly remembered by his mother, Nola Downey; his father, Karl (Jammie) Anderson; and his brothers, Connar Kamin and Thomas Anderson. He is also survived by his sister, Vivian Anderson, along with numerous relatives and a vast circle of friends who were touched by his kindness and spirit. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, who were an integral part of his life.

A Celebration of Brandon’s Life will take place at the Mraz home, located at N8869 Starr Road, Portage, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Join us as we honor and remember the beautiful life he led.
