Karen Ann Fiske

PRAIRIE DU SAC – Karen Ann Fiske, age 77, of Prairie du Sac, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Sauk Prairie Hospital.

Karen was born on March 29, 1948, in Portage, the daughter of Roger and Kathryn (Galluzzo) Davis. She had lived in Poynette from 1971 until 1996.  Through the 1970’s and 1980’s, she was chef/kitchen manager for the Jamieson House in Poynette.  Karen then worked as an Administrative Assistant for the UW School of Education. She enjoyed cooking for her family, coloring, puzzles and crocheting.  Karen was the Secretary of WSS (Wisconsin Speleological Society) for 20 years.  She knit and crocheted baby clothing for St. Mary’s NICU in Madison for over 10 years.  Karen played piano and loved gardening and bird watching.

She is survived by her husband, Kasey;  three sons, Robert Alan Kaether, Michael Carl (Heidi) Kaether, and Mark Roland (Barb) Kaether;  four daughters, Ashley Marie Fiske (Roy Henn), Kayla Denae’ Fiske (Darrick Sullivan), Colleen Victoria Fiske (Ben Maier), and Kerista Rose Fiske (Rui Amaral);  17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her brother, Alan Davis (Kum Cha);  her sister, Nancy Ives (David);  2 nieces, 3 nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald Harold Kaether and her granddaughter, Savannah Rose Kaether.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette, and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
