Melissa Ann “Missy” Horan

PORTAGE – Melissa Ann “Missy” Horan, age 39, of Portage, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at University Hospital, in Madison.

Missy was born on October 12, 1985, in Madison, the daughter of Keith and Julie (Huston) Horan, Sr. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Portage.  Missy was a member of the Portage Martial Arts Academy.

She is survived by her parents, Keith and Julie Horan; two sons, Parker and Emmett;  her brother, Keith Jr. (Amber) Horan and their children, Dominick James, Leland, Daeryn, and Valkyria; her grandparents, Beverly Huston, Dan and Becky McDaniel, and Roger Hanko;  her partner, Corey Hanko and children, Levi, Lilley, and Kiley Hanko;  her special friends, Kimberly Dorn, Melissa Kohler, Nancy Kassner and family, Carl Vogt and family, Laurie Huston and  family, and Paul Huston and family; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph Huston and Karen Hanko.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Portage, with the Rev. Greg Hovland officiating. Inurnment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.   Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
