Kyle G. Larson

PORTAGE – Kyle G. Larson, age 56, of Portage, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at University Hospital, in Madison, following a brief battle with renal cell carcinoma.

Kyle was born on December 9, 1968, in Madison.  He graduated from Portage Turner High School on June 4, 1989. Kyle lived at Lake Place Group home for many years.  He took pride in making breakfast every morning for all his housemates.  Kyle held many jobs over the years in Madison, at Alsum Produce in Friesland, and at Northwoods, Inc. of Wisconsin.  He enjoyed bowling for Columbia County Special Olympics.  Kyle loved to take walks on hot days. He had traveled to Hawaii, Arizona, Minnesota, and all around Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lillian Mae Reimann.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.  Private inurnment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, at a later date.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
