

Judith Charlene Emery Linson
PORTAGE – Judith Charlene Emery Linson, age 79, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Tivoli, in Portage.
Judy was born on August 14, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, the first of six children born to Dorothy (Gerrish) and Vernon Emery. She had lived in Illinois, Kentucky, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Georgia. Judy graduated in 1964 from Beloit Memorial High School, Beloit, Wisconsin. She graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design, in Columbus, Ohio, in 1969.
In Columbus, Ohio, Judy worked as an artist with the Van Go Mobile Art Van, and United Cerebral Palsy. While in Atlanta, Georgia, she was activities coordinator at Emory Wesley Woods Nursing Home. Judy also worked for Rockdale Senior Center, assisting senior citizens with home services and Medicaid through Atlanta Regional Commission. She continued to use her artistic talents in her work with antiques in the Conyers, Georgia area.
Those who knew and loved her will remember Judy for her kindness and endless generosity as well as her wonderful creativity expressed in all she touched. She was a keen observer of people and small details which she used to delight everyone with her witty and somewhat embellished stories of her daily life. Judy cherished her family and friends, loved her flower gardens, her treasured cats and sitting on her deck among the Georgia pines.
Judy married Lewis Linson in 1986. She is survived by her siblings, Alan Dale Emery, Joyce Marie (Dennis C. Brennan) Emery-Brennan, Phillip (Lise McNamee) Emery, Jeffrey K. Emery, and Jennifer A. (Patrick, Jr.) Malone; nieces and nephews, Joshua (Mindy) Malone, Corinne (Jacob Wagner) Malone, and Collin Malone; great nieces and nephews, Kian, Kyler, Cade, and Maisie Malone, William and Emery Wagner; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Kathy Lee (Dummann) Emery.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Aspirus Tivoli Community in the Chapel. Private inurnment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.She was a member of Portage United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank The Tivoli Community, Heritage House, Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital, Bristol Hospice, and her care team in Conyers, Georgia, for their care and concern.
A memorial fund has been established by her family.
