Sharron Kaye (née Seiple) Rittmeyer

ARLINGTON – Sharron Kaye (née Seiple) Rittmeyer, age 83, of Arlington, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Sharron was born on April 19, 1943, in Savanna, Illinois, daughter of Harry “Tom” Alvin and Lucille Mae (née Christensen) Seiple.

Sharron married her high school sweetheart James Henry Rittmeyer, on June 22, 1961 and together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was built on love, family, faith, hard work, and many cherished memories.

Sharry was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who found great joy in making a home for her family. She was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher and worked alongside Jim on the farm managing the baby pigs. She took great pride in caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home.

She was a wonderful cook, and her family will forever remember the meals and treats that made her kitchen such a special place. Among her family’s favorites were her fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies and chocolate popcorn. Canning, playing cards, and board games while enjoying a gin and sour with olives also made the kitchen the place to be.

She was a devoted Wisconsin sports fan and enjoyed cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. Whether watching a game with family, putting a puzzle together, or watching her birds, she treasured the simple moments that brought everyone together. Above all, Sharry will be remembered for the love she gave her family and the home she created for them.

Sharron is survived by her husband, James; son, Richard (Julie) Rittmeyer; daughters, Christine (the late Michael) Koch, Corinne (Joseph) Tuschl, Catherine (Jeffrey) Henn, Charlotte (Justin) Reddeman; grandchildren, Jennifer Koch, Lori (Dave) Rasmussen, Timothy (Samantha) Rittmeyer, Kimberly (Brent) Fryk, Jordan (Brandon) Hagy, Joshua (Taylor) Tuschl, Jacob (Alexandra) Reddeman, Tyler Henn, Anthony Rittmeyer, Alexandra Henn, Rachel Tuschl, Elizabeth Reddeman, Caleb Reddeman, Jason (Sarah) Tuschl, Megan Reddeman, and Nathan Tuschl; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda (Denis) Miller, Merita (the late Nathan) Sloan; many nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Debra; and son, Robert James Rittmeyer.
