

Henry “Hank” Thomas Rohr, Jr.
PORTAGE – Henry “Hank” Thomas Rohr, Jr., age 82, of Portage Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at home following a long battle with cancer.
Henry was born on July 28, 1943, in Pennsylvania, the son of Henry and Arlene (Crouthamel) Rohr.
Enlisting in the US Coast Guard in 1962, Hank, as known to his friends, served his country until 1966 on the great lakes ship “Mackinaw”, located in Cheybogan, Michigan, where he met and married Charlene Joy McLaughlin.
Hank worked for many years and eventually retired from the Wisconsin Power Plant, where he worked as a generating operator.
Hank enjoyed traveling and spending time with his son and grandson collecting Star Wars and trains. He enjoyed working on cars. Hank was deeply loved by all who knew him.
Survived by his brother, Terry Rohr of Pennsylvania; daughter, Sherry Rohr; and son, Thomas Rohr; granddaughter, Amber (Charles Whitlock) Bloss; as well as other relatives and friends. Hank is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Robert Rohr; grandson, Derek Rohr; and special friend Marilyn.
Services will be private and held at a later date.
