Robert Allen Witte

ENDEAVOR-- Robert “Rob”, “Bob”, or “Binky” (to his siblings) Allen Witte, 69, of Endeavor, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in Horicon, Wisconsin. He was born on June 06, 1957, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, to Hubert and Shirley (Elstrom) Witte. Bob lived with his parents and siblings in Colby, Wisconsin, until they moved to Waunakee. Bob purchased his home in Endeavor, Wisconsin, in 1990, and put down family roots that will always remain.

For many years Bob drove truck; but the bulk of his career he spent with Meigs Trucking. This last June he had his 21st anniversary there. He enjoyed working and staying busy and he still used his old beat-up Thermos every day that his dad had given to him on his first day of work many years ago.

Bob is leaving behind his sons, Joshua (Marcie) Witte and Jacob (Casey) Witte; his grandchildren, Hudson, Kai, and Elena; his siblings, Lynn Ellenbecker, Sandy (Steve) Esser, and Bruce Witte; his son’s mother, Diane, – she and Bob enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren together; as well as, nieces and nephews.

Bob has now been reunited with his loved ones that passed away before him including his mother and father; his sisters, Jeanne, Karen, Susan, and Joan; his brother, James; as well as other family and friends that left before him. 

Bob leaves behind so much that will never fade. He taught his boys everything there is to know about cars and being good men, who will now pass that knowledge and care onto their boys, and so on. He was always the call when something would break, or they just needed a hand, or company while working on something. He loved his grandkids very much and always made time for them. He would spend quite a bit of time bragging about something new they had learned or accomplished. When he finally got baby Kai to say, “BOB!” or when Hudson won a baseball game, he would tell you all about it. 

Bob valued hard work and family. He loved classic cars and building or making things with his boys. He was a good man that just kept getting better each day. He was a great father, best friend, and somebody that just about everybody could count on. 

Bob's passing was very sudden and heartbreaking for all of those that loved him – and there are so many; but he would not want any of us to feel sadness or heartbreak. Bob would want everyone to gather, smile, and laugh about the good memories and maybe crack a joke or two at someone’s expense in the lighthearted, good-natured way that he was known for at family gatherings.  He loved a good home cooked meal and just gathering together. So please don’t mourn but gather with Bob’s family and friends at a celebration of his life on September 19th, with time and location to be determined.

Remember Bob and the happy times; think of him often – we most certainly will.
